Overview

Plush, with sound and lighting systems, the Thiebaud Auditorium seats 805 people. It is the site of the annual Fair Queen Pageant, the Miss Merry Christmas Pageants, and numerous annual community events, such as the Gospel Music Celebration in conjunction with the annual Lamar Free Fair. The auditorium can be rented for a very reasonable fee.

Included in the facility are two large meeting rooms with a kitchen, that are available for a nominal fee for meetings, banquets, reunions, etc. The rooms can be configured singly or together to seat up to 250 for a classroom setting, or 175 to 190 for table seating. Limited audio visual equipment is available for use in the meeting rooms.

The Thiebaud Auditorium is home to the Lamar Community Theater. There are dressing rooms available in the fully functioning theater/auditorium.

To reserve the Auditorium or meeting rooms, please visit our Civic Rec Online Catalog. Reservations can be made at any time for up to three years in advance. 

Thiebaud Marquee

In the summer of 2022 a new state of the art LED video marquee was added outside Thiebaud Auditorium right on Highway 160. This marquee is available to use for advertising community events, birthdays and events happening at Thiebaud.
