How do I rent a shelter or picnic area at Lamar City Park?

The Enclosed Shelter, Shelter 2 (across the creek from the enclosed shelter), Shelter 3 (across from the playground by the basketball courts) and Shelter 6 (small memorial shelter across from the outfield of the high school baseball field) are all available to reserve for smaller events. There is a $25 deposit required to reserve, that is refundable, as long as all trash from your event is in the trash cans and no park property is damaged. The Enclosed Shelter also requires a $25 rental fee. Shelters 4, 5 and 7 at the City Park and the Shelter at Wheeler Park are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We do ask if you will have a group of more than 50 using one of these space, that you let park staff know so that we can have plenty of trash cans available for you.

Please go to our Parks & Recreation Catalog to reserve your shelter!
