Lamar City Lake
The Lamar City Lake is located
at 214 SE 15th Road and covers 250 acres. It is used primarily for the city's water source, although it is
also used for recreational fishing. Located at the lake are picnic tables, a playground for children, a covered boat dock, and four fishing piers.

The Lake Office closes during the winter. 2010 the office will close on November 19th. All annual permits are also available at City Hall.
Day use permits are available at the self pay box on site. The Office will reopen in the Spring.
Fishing Permits Season Permits on Sale Now at Recreation Office (Backstage at Thiebaud) or at City Hall
(1104 Broadway.)
Anglers are reminded to release any
grass carp
caught at City lake or at Wheeler Park Pond, as they help keep the moss and unwanted plants down. Length limits brochures are available
for all other species at the lake office or by clicking on this link.
Boat Slip Rentals Contact the Lake Office to Reserve one of our 16 standard or 2 pontoon size slips. Costs vary
from $180 - $220 a year depending upon size.
